Because he was no longer the manager. He never refused to do his job. Absolutely nothing like that. He was the manager of our football club who left to join another club. The fact it was Wednesday is the bit that sticks in the throat and I was angry when he left but I never wanted to kick his head in for doing it. Furthermore I was prepared to forgive him and let him have another go with us. Being the manager of Wednesday and The Blunts doesn't make him a bad manager.
I don't get the 'not in the right state of mind' statements either. When I play football, albeit not at this level obviously I don't think about anything else other than, "Where's my man?", "Where's that second ball going to drop?" or things like "Where should I pass?" Obviously there's more but i'm not thinking things like, "Ooo, so and so have put in a bid for me, i'm going to throw my toys out of the pram and refuse to play a game of football, the sport I love." Let's be honest he has no loyalty to Sheff Wed like we see with nearly every player these days but it's a few hours on a weekend, just play, put you're all in so the fans know even if you do leave that you gave all you could and have a quiet word with the manager and say, i'd like to leave please. Don't be an arse about it and act like a 5 year old.
Agree completely. I just dont get the mindset of mordern footballers. He's backed himself into a corner now and been left red faced. Could all easily have been avoided for him by just playing, giving 100% and keeping his wish to leave to himself and the management. Cant stop laughing at the whole situation though. A moron would be someone who wanted us to get rid of Hourihane who every time they are clearly shown to be wrong tries to wriggle out of it. Know anyone like that?
No. I know someone whos been proved to be right everytime though and that person is me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
