Thinking of the wrong bloke

He didn't manage Colchester - who was the guy who went from Colchester to Hull?

Less time than Simon Davey then ?

Yet has fashioned a promotion potential side in that time.

    RE: Indeed.

How about a t-shirt with the caption 'our manager got us promoted in the time it took Barnsley's manager to get to 5th bottom' ?

    We well may be

And let's hope we improve more next season. I wonder if Phil Parkinson gets the praise for Hull getting to the play offs as Ritchiegets criticisedfor us still struggling in the league ?

    Taken as a whole

You'd have to say the team is better equipped for Championship football than the one we came up with.

That said, given the fact that Davey's pretty much signed every single player he wanted, our final league position has to be a disappointment. I kept hearing about our better 'squad' - that's ****** if we have to play Bobby Hassel in midfield when Togwell and Johnson are sat on the sidelines. Davey's wasted money. Now if he's signed someone and they've not turned out to be the player he thought, then you've just got to accept that. but considering the number of players purchased, if I was paying the bills, I'd be having a few long chats with him this summer.

Next season will be even tougher with the likes of Derby Birmingham and Forest in the Championship.
