1. Andy Johnson - signed on a free transfer after being relased by Leicester City

2. Miguel Mostto - signed for an undisclosed fee rumoured to be between £300 - £700k. Note we did also sell him to Total Clean for an undisclosed fee..... ??? But arguments sake lets go with worst case and assume we paid £700k and sold him for £200k.

3. Kim Christensen - signed for an undisclosed fee. We also sold him for an undisclosed fee. I heard a rumour we paid around £200k at the time he signed, so lets assume that to be correct. I wouldn't have though it was anymore, and I'll assume we only got £100k for him.


Total fees paid = Johnson (Free) + Mostto £700k + Christensen £200k = £900k (no way near £2million)

Total fees recieved = Johnson (Free) + Mostto £200k + Christensen £100k = £300k

Fees paid £900k - fees recieved £300k = Total Loss of £600k

If your gonna give Davey flack for wasting money on players, at least talk sense. I personally don't even believe we would have spent anywhere near £1m on those three players, closer to £500k (e.g. MM £350k & KC £150k). We can speculate on figures all day long the fact is we don't know exactly how much we paid or reicieved for either of these players. But know one thing for sure we did not pay anywhere near to the sums you are talking........ At £1.5m Mostto would have equalled our record transfer fee (not a chance in hell). If you assumed we paid £500k for Kim Christensen, thats what you must think we paid for Mostto.

I said KC was over £500K I heard a rumour (just like you) it was £750K for KC (plus wages) and £300K (plus wages) for MM

AJ was a free but would have been on a good wage

So add these figures for MM and KC to the 3 wages we had to pay up and it will be well over £1million....

all assumptions though just like yours...so both are as valid or not as each others...

People are now saying Davey is great cos he's pulled off 3 loan signings, as someone pointed out further down the board his track record with signings is patchy at best so lets not get too carried away....
