    He's had it tough there too. Wasnt exactly welcomed with open arms and the press were very against him not being Scottish. Made some tough decisions but his signings are looking ok and Sibbick is showing how he envisioned him playing in the championship.

    You're right Helen, he's has it real tough so far. A couple of experienced pros slagged him off big time, Glen Whelan and Christophe Berra were told they didn't feature in his plans and they went straight to the press to slate him!
    Really hope he gets them going on a winning run!

    The good thing is I can wish him well because his team arent in competition with us. I've known how ambitious he is and I hope he gets another chance in the championship or beyond to show what he can do

    I think he wanted to be in Scotland, Sunderland put a bid in for him I believe. Shows that Daniel could find a goal scorer though.

    Pleased for DS, one of half a dozen favourite Barnsley managers. Wouldn't be the top, that would be Norman Hunter / Danny Wilson (first time). Allan Clarke, Hecky & Bassett would be my others, alongside Daniel.

    Only saw the highlights but Sibbick wasn’t exactly busting a gut to get back for the Rangers goal , hope Stendel does well and Hearts go on a run to keep them up

    Great to see Daniel turning things around there. As a few in here have said he’s not had it easy with the press and his more senior pros against him.

    A great performance from Toby Sibbick which underlines why Daniel took him up to Hearts. We never saw a performance like that for us but it definitely shows the potential he has. I watched the full game and he was a real strength for Hearts, the comments on Twitter from their fans are somewhat different to the views expressed on his performances for us.

    Hopefully Daniel can now build on this performance and move up the table.

    I think part of Daniel being no 2 to the first Daniel was because we were his first England side so special to us in the same way Wilson was I enjoyed our time under Bassett and Hecky ( again hoped he'd make the big time coming from Barnsley) but I didnt get quite the same vibe.

    What position did he play? Surprised he hasn’t had a go at centre back for us given Anderson’s form & Halme been used as a midfielder
