Can you remember who he is?

he's the bald one up front that the mister on the radio sometimes mentions.

Don't you think the whole team is ****?

Or are you putting our lower division status firmly in the hands of Conlon?

And, just for the record, in no way and I doing that whole "you're not real fans" *****. You probably attend more games than me, I just don't see why you have to single out the same player every game?

    No...

and how could I blame Conlon for us being in this division? He actually only joined last season you know...

We have some decent players and some average players and some **** players. Quite simple

Don't simplify the arguement to suit your own intellect

    To be fair ...

... I reckon Babsa has seen Conlon play as many times as he's nailed real women.
    About once.
And he paid to do both.

    MSN? Becky?
Of what do you speak, young Lumberjack?

Maybe it's his fault we didn't get promoted last season

And, yeah, I do know he only joined at the beginning of last season.

In your opinion who are our best/most vital players? Stephen McPhail? :S

    Really?

Well, in my opinion he had some excellent games, Huddersfield away comes to mind.

His close control is exceptional, he gets climbed all over, battered at every opportunity and he stood his ground.

Granted this season he hasn't been his usual self, but come on...give him a chance!

    I've seen Conlon play...

    About 7 or 8 times.

    No...

Paul Reid and Jacob Burns are "VITAL" at the minute as they are on form and playing the best I have seen from them, esp Burns.

McPhail still has the potential to be our best player. I don't think he will fulfill it though.

And no..(zzz) it was not Conlon's fault we did not go up last season. Shall we discuss those reasons?

    Two games..

that people always recall...Huddersfield and Bournemouth. I will say that he played well at Huddersfield.

    So what?

I don't need to give a stiker who is 27/28 years old and on what his 8th league club "a chance"

Too slow, not in box enough etc etc

The manager said he could go. That'll do for me

I agree re Reid and Burns

Burns has come into his own recently, and after having plenty of critics last season he's finally proving what he can do.

Reid was criticised too for not being the player he'd been hyped up to be, but recently he's putting in some rock solid performances, or as the commentator last night kept calling him "man mountain"

McPhail has the potential to play in higher divisions, but he hardly ever shows this potential, most of the time when he plays we'd be better off with 10 men. I cannot see how anyone can say he's the most vital player in our team. He could do with a few weeks in the reserves, maybe bring him down a peg or two.

    Problem is ...

... when he runs off the pitch after 45 minutes - that's half time that is - you can't go counting each game as 'seeing him twice'.
The telly doesn't count either - as you can't really see what he's doing when the camera isn't on him.
    Soccer AM doesn't count either.
Or his picture on the website.
Or films with Jimmy Nesbitt in them.

You've really seen him once, haven't you?
Go on - you can tell me the truth.

Look at the size of him...

He's not exactly Shuker-esque is he? Small and quick.

he's more of a holding player, a target man. Maybe you don't like that style of football, but he could be a key player in some tough away games. If he can play to his full potential, which we've all seen on the odd occasion.

    Nope

Still sticking to my same answer.

And I don't think he actually featured in either of our live games on SKY last season...Bradford City at home(2-2) and Luton Town Away(3-1).

    nope

i just found it amusing that you dragged up an old controversy for no reason whatsoever, well unless the reason was antagonism.
