    All inside information eh nudge?
Can t see what the Greeks have got to lose missen they're already in deep **** and maybe if the EU had gone after the real culprits in first place and emptied their pockets of Ill gotten gains things may have been a lot better for all of us by now.

You know all this for a fact?

The great thing they have done is not elect a facist government as they easily could have done and gone with hatred as a solution

We'll see if this socialist experiment works in Greece. If I lived there I would be more than a little worried about the longer term prosperity of my country. It will all end in tears if they implement the promises they have made.

It will take more than this election in Greece obviously.

Spain and Italy could easily follow suit...Then the EU will be in meltdown and it will be rough, but the corrupt rotten system has to change.

There are murmurings in Spain and Portugal now hopefully the political elite will start taking notice and reverse Austerity and make the real criminals pay or at least sell a couple of yachts to pay back.

Their economy is starting to show signs of recovery. If they head down the road proposed by this new government they'll be in for more hardship, deeper cuts, and more pain. I can understand why the average voter would choose this party, if it was me I'd probably do the same, but looking at it from afar and taking an objective view I fear they are heading down the road to complete ruin.

Sorry Mario but have to disagree their economy has promised next year then next year for five years and apart from the richest has not made any changes whatsoever.
I don't believe in austerity at all The USA have gone totally the opposite to us and are well on way to recovery with real jobs with fair pay.the only reason we are on recovery is a,because it was never has bad as this govt made out and b,its based on low wage economy that is fragile to say the least.the only country doing well on austerity is Germany .

a lot of the rank and file greek voters have a deep hatred of merkel and the germans. The germans butchered and starved the greeks, this election was as much a pop at them as it was anti austerity.

usa still have a massive manufacturing base as well as wealth in minerals, coal, iron ore ,oil, plus a big fracking concern, they arnt as reliant on outside powers like we are and this is why they havnt had austerity and never ending recession like us.
our well paid jobs went out the window and have never been replaced, you will never ever have anything like those wages in retail and service industries, not if you dont want to pay a fiver for a loaf of bread

Their austerity measures were part of a massive bail out agreement and that's a big factor in why these anti austerity measures will fail long term. Of course all of this just underlines why the ridiculous EU expansion was always flawed and why countries like Greece could never be successfully bound economically to countries such as Germany. It was always going to fail and when it did it was always going to be spectacular and extremely painful for the average family. Greece has been ruined by utopian politics, I just hope they are not damaged even further because I don't think the Greek people deserve this.

Clutching at straws a bit there dek there's 26% unemp!oyment with untold per cent almost slave wages some have t worked for five years (dockers) and trying g to bring their kids up without utilities Including the basic water.the situation hasn't significantly improved since day one of austerity above half the population have voted anti austerity prefering one party or another.only Al Jazzerra has reported with any in depth outlook on just what these people are enduring.
The Greeks only want the same thing as most Europeans and that's for the people!e who caused this answer to it .but can't see the British or American govt helping out with that o e personally

Silly stupid view that has no sense or reason

BUT............at least he has a view..........not like some on here that just sit on the fence and squark..........I mean, whats the point of people like Supertyke

As daft as Redstar is.......and he is fooking daft !!!..........I would rather have a Redstar on here than one waste of space such as Supertyke

Then again...........whats the difference between daft.......and Superdaft ???
