Sorry all...........

.....but a few games ago there was only a handful of us saying this squad would flounder. It wasn't "obvious" to all and there were plenty of phrases like "We'll stay up easily" being chucked about.

Given the flak that those who could see what was coming got at the time I think Nudger has every right to say "Told you so." The more gracious thing to do would be to admit most of you were wrong.

    You set of bell-ends.

You derive more pleasure from being 'right' and seeing Barnsley lose.

Some supporter you are. We all knew (ALL), all along that this season would be a steep climb, and some took early optimism from the intial results we got (which were mid table results to be fair, against good sides) - even so, we all still knew we were a long way from surviving 'easily'. Most people got whole heartedly behind the lads anyway - with the odd whining gimp voice (yours usually) saying 'We'll be going down you know'. Congratulations for sticking to your guns - at least you derive the shallow satisfaction of confirming your own bitterness. I suspect deep down you're just as upset about all this as the rest of us - either that or you belong at Hilsborough. Fact of the matter is that there was a massive chance of this happening this year - it's just some of us had the courage to get behind the lads (you didn't). Is that something to be proud of? Not for you. So I'd keep my gob shut if I was you. Please believe me - you didn't back a long shot and you're not a 'I told you so' visionary.

I think Windy most of us who have been following Barnsley for a number of years, knew that this team without strenthening in pre-season would struggle big time. We were lucky to gain promotion, and most of us expected the team to be added a bit of quality. This never came about,if it had we all would be raving about our team instead of wondering when the next wins are coming from.

You may have thought we'd be scuppered without strengthening mate but the majority didn't.

    Are you smoking crack again?

The more gracious thing to do would be not to **** stirr the **** out of the issue, accept that we're all pissed off right now, and have the B*ll*cks to be a man and not need to say 'I told you so' in the first place (which is something only the most insecure would need to do).

Why should someone who backed against the Reds come onto a Barnsley fansite to get his gracious dues for being right all along? That's just fecked up. At least some of the people on here had the guts to get behind the team in the first place - a small set of fans never did.

It's not an amazing long shot piece of visionary ability to say that a newly promoted side, without significant changes to the squad, would be a relegation outfit. I think we all know our football well enough to recognise that (and most did). If you want to be 'gracious' to Young Nudger, why don't you get his phone number and arrange a private opportunity. The rest of us would like to get behind the club.

    You bell-end.

I think the phrase you're looking for is "even a stopped clock is right twice a day" mate and it's never so true as in this particular case...

Whatever mistakes Ritchie has made this season (and he has made 'em) I'd rather be a fan singing from the stands than carping from the sidelines and, as you so accurately put it, seemingly taking pleasure in our demise.

It's easy to assume a position of the worst case scenario and be proved right. I'd rather get behind the lads and enjoy the ride and if my optimism if proven to be just that then I'll get behind 'em again next season.

If that's wrong, fine - I'd rather not be right then!

I laughed then.............and I'm laughing now..........but its not at Barnsley Football Club

I'm laughing at all the so called fans that post on here and start name calling as tho they have just walked out of the play ground
They were name calling a few months ago when I and a few others (including Windy) were discussing serious doulbts about the quality of the team
All we got at that time was a barrage of abuse
And all this because we were concerned about the club
And its happening again because we are pointing out to these guys that they were wrong in the past

I hoped that I could have said that i and others were wrong
    Unfortunatly we wern't
Ritchie and Shep have now decided to go and and bring 3 quality players in
It could be too late, but lets hope not
But to all those that posted abuse (furious) back then and are still posting it now, stop squirming, yer making yourselfs look worse than ever
