Me too Jam Drop, I'm very angry today, very angry indeed. What a terrible myopic decision by BFC. If I still feel like this come the end of the season I won't be renewing. Thanks BFC.
100% wrong. I am so angry that we've treated Danny in this way that a few good results won't just erase the contempt I hold BFC in right now.
The timing of his dismissal for one and I would be surprised if anybody could achieve success at this club. Danny is the fall guy for the behind the scenes circus and he deserves better. I'm sure he'll find a club and prove once again just how good he is as a manager.
Fifth biggest budget in the division and I think we were the only league one club to pay a transfer fee in the January. He was sacked on the back of six consecutive away defeats, four goals in thirteen away games and one of the worst home performances in many a year. Inevitable to me.
Only inevitable if the board are short sighted and are unable to learn from past mistakes. Einstein must have had us in mind when he made his famous quote.
I think there might be more to it than just results. The way he was recruited with Mellon as assistant seemed odd. Also, the way he was sacked by the Blunts.
I personally would have held firm matey. But i'm far from seething with rage. His tenure has been pretty dire. Very little to cheer about and over 60 or so games, i've seen little evidence of progress on the pitch. I still maintain to many this is the Danny factor, and can't imagine there would have been too much criticism of the decision, had it been anyone else. All conjecture like, but we'll see when the next manager comes along..
Heres another Einstein quote You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.
I already left in anticipation - I'm in Austria this week I do dispair - first let me state I never wanted Danny back - I have always been in the - dont go back camp but once we hired him fair enough I was prepaired to give him a go We all knew this season was a rebuilding season and there would be ups and downs. Now I dont for one minute agree with all Danny has done and his tactics have been a disappointment for me but surely we should have given him this season and seen where we finished - bottom third from here and I would have agreed he had to go- top half he should have been given the summer to strengthen and then see where were were this time next season. Finally to sack him just after the transfer window closes after a run of 4 home wins and 1 defeat - that smacks of incompetence somewhere Wonder how long the next guy will get - odds on he wont still be in charge summer 2016
Here's another, slightly modified "When you watch an entertaining, winning, football game, 90 minutes seems like a second. When you watch a dour, losing struggle, a second seems like 90 minutes. That's relativity"
Danny wouldn't have been cut the slack he has had without his previous stint in charge. The axe would have fallen quicker. He had to go! Strange timing though
