Cheers Phil, all the best for the rest of your season. I hope to see you back in the football league very soon. Keep posting.
When I read you saying you thought that non-league sides had the one chance of winning against teams like us I really thought you were being unduly pessamistic, but today we played really well and well deserved the win. But we were lucky to get to the replay. I worked with a big Chester fan, Mike Hall, at Broadgreen Hospital in the early 90s, so if he's known to you please give him my best. But otherwise I hope you have a good season, because us Reds fans can't have anything but respect for the way that your fans supported your team over the two games.
We were lucky to get a replay after your boys showing at Oakwell, can be proud of that at least despite the difference in quality being more apparent tonight. Great support and craic home and away from your fans, I particularly enjoyed one bloke shouting into the away end from the east stand tonight "you wanted him sacked the other day, make your bloody mind up!" after our fans started singing "walking in a Wilson wonderland" Best of luck for the season and I hope you're back in the football league soon.
Thanks for being an intelligent and interesting visitor. Don't be a stranger. We were so lucky in the first game and like you I thought you'd probably missed your best chance but your team did you proud in both games. A bit more quality up front and you will have a very competitive team. I envy your model of ownership see it as the future for all but the 'big clubs' so let us know how you go on.
Thanks for that Phil and like the others have said please carry on posting on here, good luck for the rest of the season and I'll be keeping an eye on your results.
All the best for the rest of the season Phil, good to see clubs like yours doing well considering where you've come from. Don't become a stranger as your opinions have been valued. May be playing you in the league in a few years given your meteoric rise thus far.
Mate, you have my admiration for the way you have resurrected/reclaimed/restarted your club and the way you support it, I hope that if our BFC ever fall into the same position we could do like you and restart in non league with a fan based ownership. I suppose we are lucky at the moment because we have a genuine fan who saved us and continues to back us, but in these days of greed within the game who knows what may happen in the future. All the best to all your fans for the future.
We didn't give you the respect you deserved at our place and we should have paid the price. Last night you got our attention and our respect and it made the difference. Saw your lads in the dressing room after the game and they looked like they'd met reality. We all have to live within our means and you've had it hard since your league days, I hope they come back for you soon. Neither of us are Giants. Best of luck and merry Christmas.
