I quite enjoyed being able to walk straight into the toilets whilst the men were all queuing for once
Somebody told me there are 45,000 toilet spaces in Wembley!! I'm assuming most of these are gents urinals, but there seemed to be as many ladies Loo's as gents!
That's the difference between a 23k stadium and a hospitable/state of the art 86k national stadium. As mentioned before our stewards could learn a hell of a lot. Little things mean a lot
Maybe if the toilets weren't clogged up with people having a crafty smoke (and worse) that wouldn't have been a problem.
Fantastic, my 12 year old was the same. Every penny spent, and ever mile travelled was worth it the moment i saw the look on our young ens face. And say what you want about the Football League Trophy, To him, it was as good as winning the Champions League! Sorry, that was in reply to kektyke.
It's a nice stadium, views were good from where I was. Legroom! There is some! My only disappointment (and this may be due to being more at that back than lower down) is the acoustics. The sound just seems to swirl around and it's difficult to gauge who's making the noise a times. Still I could hear this daft bloke keep screaming CUM ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....ohhhh... that was me.
Enjoyed it - well organised - I was sat on the half way line by the Oxford fans and the stewards were great
Yep great day for all. He's had an inset day at school and been to his grandads all day telling him everything showing souvenirs off and everything Sent from my SM-G800F using Forum Runner
Best in the world. Only one close for me would be Dallas Cowboys new stadium in Arlington where Wrestlemania 32 took place yesterday.
Really enjoyed the stadium. The security were top notch and everyone was friendly and not the typical "im better than you" stewards you get a football matches
Hadn't heard of it so had a google- crikey its a dog isn't it! Very ugly & not a patch on Wembley aesthetically IMO (In my architectural opinion )
I recorded a bit of video, the bit where you first walk to your seats so I could film a panorama of the stadium. Steward stood slap int middle. He moved instantly out of camera shot and I'd never said owt. Top man. It's the little things.
I really object to those airport terminal style escalators - much prefer climbing loads of stairs. And those easy to use ticket barriers - I'd rather squeeze my 19 stones through a narrow cage turnstile. Don't get me started on those bluddy padded seats. Give me the wooden benches of Mansfield Town circa 1978 anytime!
I haven't but it always looks top draw. The attendance record was for a Basketball match which almost got me interested
Can't recall a longer time for a short queue to be served at half time. Took me 15 to get served with 4 people in front: speed was shocking
Spot on. The stadium is very good indeed, and the staff were really helpful and polite. The big problem is the location. It is our national stadium and the surroundings are like something from the 1950s. Going by coach is a nightmare of crawling along through an outdated dump of an industrial area. What foreign visitors must think of it I don't know. At the end our coach set off at 5-20 and by 6 we were still in the coach park. It took us another hour to get to the M1, inching along through roads that must have been laid out years ago when there was hardly any traffic. Insane not to build it on a brownfield site in the Midlands with direct motorway, rail and airport access. Another example of bias in favour of the south.
