The problem is that we still haven't gotten to the bottom of why Ritchiedidn't want to sign players - if the reason is because the ones being offered are no better than what we have, well he still has some justification. Let's face it, we need four players (at least) who are a considerable step up in classcomparedto what we have. Heckingbottom out. Reid out. A proven goal scorer at this level... the list goes on. Of recent performances, a goal keeper might beneeded too. It's all very well saying Ritchie washolding us back - but we'll see after January exactly who was causing the problem. Ritchie had his problems - defensively speaking without adoubt - but it's too easy to lay it all at his door though, especially this individual performance. </p>

Today, in front of a full house, those playerslet the fans andthe club down in a big way. Everyone else turned up,our players didn't. It underlines the fact that we are a long way from safe - there is still a lot of work to be down and the situation is still highly precarious. PleaseGodlet this spur them on. I hope they feel a burningdissapointment, and anger, from today, and that they draw on that in the dressingroom and take some motivation out of it. fecking hell. Best way to sum it up, in a week when AR says we need to sign experienced players our chairman comes on the radio and say we have been offerd and put forward to AR 2 players both young uns from middlesborough and man u, now who is the (wnkr)
