    I'm not sure our squad is strong enough to sustain a proper cup run right now and stay competitive in the league.

    I agree. A totally pointless competition that just adds extra strain to squads.

    It should be a good chance to play the fringe players in a competitive fixture. Digby, Abbott, Smith, Maris, Cowgill and the like should be given a chance to show what they can do, but I believe the club will be fined if they don't select a strong team. With that rule in place, it is a pointless competition that simply drains our resources.

    Correct Jay. There are rules in place to stop managers making more than five (I think) changes to his league squad. Wasn't one of our local managers (possibly Evans) fined for doing it a couple of years ago.

    I don't think it will be a problem. There are players who have been in the squad who would be able to play and considered first team, like Maris, Digby, Smith, Townsend. We could move Nayatanga back alongside Roberts rest Mawson. Last chance saloon for Wilkinson maybe? Of the others that would constitute the 5 players not regarded as first team squad, i think it would be difficult to name 5.

    We should aim to win every competitive game we play. Winning breeds confidence - look at burnley in their first promotion season, went up to PL with a threadbare squad with 2 cup runs that year

    While ever we have to follow the funding protocol all games are surely beneficial for revenue purposes. We may also find that LJ wants to go as far as possible in this cup in order to maximise the budget.

    I cant understand people saying things like this. I'm going plus I expect a few hundred more BFC fans but you want us to lose and all have a wasted trip.

    Any kind of win breeds confidence.
