I think it depends on the circumstances in which the player left

Joe Cole got a rapturous reception when he came on as sub for Chelsea last night

    Always found Hammers alright

They've got a long way to go to be as bad as Leeds, Milwall and Liverpool

Went to Hull v West Ham at Boothferry Park years ago when visiting my mate who lives in Hull, stood in the away end with the Hammers fans, they did give us some strange looks when they heard us talking but were ok when my mate explained that he just hated Hull and often went to games in the away end!

RE: I found them lovely when we were in the Prem

god help us ...is that the Pearly Kings and Queens I can hear with their jellied eels and pie and mash ?

"working class heroes like we all are from round here" despite the fact that yer average Wet Spam fan is a like a Harry Enfield Loadsamoney spiv character, part of the White Flight Essex Man syndrome largely responsible for 4 successive Tory election victories

Chris Morgan man of the match "although we let 6 goals in " :D

    Altogether "knees up mother brown...."

"Now look at him"....playing at Old Trafford wearing your much loved Blades shirt in front of 76,000

    :D

There is a hammers fan at work. I offered a trade. If he tells me the way to Upton Park, I will tell him the way to Glanville park.

That said the last time we were at Upton park , we lost 6-1 i think.
