West stand

    looking at them photos, i'd say it would fit no problem. The open terrace is makes it quite a wide stand actually.

    Think the club could be forced into re-development after a few years. Mainly due to it's roof.

    Plans have been approved

    There is already planning approval subject to building reg changes valid for the next 4 or 5 years.
    The architects plan for the New West stand mirror the East stand but with less space for coporate activity.
    The increased seating capacity would be for 9.700 fans.Information from Barnsley council

    Was there any information about the proposed 'relief' road, that was planned, that would have taken traffic from the back of the East stand onto Harborough Hill road.?

    That's what I thought, I did hear that planning was refused, when the allotment holders, objected.
