I think Bahare was lucky not to get a straight red for his cruyff like turn that put one of their players on his arse

So the refs amchsrlton fan who wanted them to win and to demonstrate this he only reduced them to 10 men via a second booking not a straight red which helped them try to win us more obviously. A game is so much easier to win when your player has been sent off for two yellows, when it's for a straight red you may as well be playing with 5 men.

Think about the ludicrous things you are saying

He had no choice but to punish him for that challenge and the decisions he made before that incident made it quite clear he wasn’t gonna give the proper justice the challenge deserved .
I never said he was a Charlton fan that’s you being dramatic to try and push your views again.

He wasn't biased yesterday. Just shocking for both sides. Pinnock could have gone. Their bloke who chopped Brown could have gone. Sending off happened right in front of me and their bloke was off the ground when he made the tackle.

And Woodrow got booked for frog marching ten yards. Was quite funny to be fair. He was like John Cleese.

You said he was biased, a cheat and basically that he was trying to get Charlton the win.
It's one thing to say a refs bad and incompetent but it's a whole different level of conspiracy theory to say he was actively working against us deliberately when one of our players should have gone but didn't and they had a man sent off. In fact it's the weirdest thing I've read on here for a long time, and I read nudgers posts

Some of his decisions were actively working against us ffs were you there . Everybody including the refereee saw that as a corner but he chose to give a free kick. He chose to ignore blatant pushes on our players but penalised us for shoulder pushes .
I suppose your a Gary Willard fan as well

Did the rules not change a couple of years back to state that if the foul is not classed as deliberate then it is a yellow card not red even if preventing a goalscoring opportunity. I suppose the ref could have thought it was a genuine attempt to tackle the player despite a foul being committed so wouldn't be a red. Offering an alternate view not stating the refs thoughts but overall I thought he was poor.

That rules is for if it's a penalty so that the defending team doesn't lose a penalty and a player for a genuine attempt. For a free kick it's still a red because a free kick isn't a severe punishment like a penalty is.

Me neither. I can understand it after this match, but we get threads complaining about the ref after every game, which kind of makes these complaints less valid, less poignant. We do occasionally get referees who have a poor game, most of the time they're OK.

I think most of the time they're poor but poor for both sides. A lot of people refuse to see the poor decisions that a referee gives us in our favour and as soon as he gets one wrong against us it's a conspiracy

Moment of the game yesterday which demonstrates how daft a lot of our fans are
Bahre gets a knock. Carries on walking around the pitch, declines to walk off to receive treatment. Carries on, eventually casually sits down on floor.

Booooooooooo. Boooooooooo why hasn't the game been stopped for this life or death moment? Booooooooo *spits whilst screaming* booooooooooooooooooooo

So I suppose the further away the more the ref has to factor in how certain he is the player is being denied a goalscoring opportunity and if he believes other players could get across or back to prevent the goal.

Course you would think that, it was one of our players and our fans involved. Not a peep when ever the opposition players use those tactics, which is about as often as our players do.
Players are told to go down if they need assistance we’ve been burned once this season when Pinillos went straight off without a replacement ready.

I haven't mentioned tactics at all. Bahre didn't look to be employing any tactics to me. Looked to be trying to carry on and see if it cleared up but eventually had to sit down instead because it wasn't working. I don't think it was any dodgy tactics at all and I didn't criticise him in any way. My post was about the reaction of the fans

ST, are you sure you’re a BFC fan? I appreciate that we can be biased at some poor ref decisions but you seem to want to just have a fig at Barnsley players & fans!
I don’t believe it was a free kick (or booking) for their goal - I’ve never known 10 mins of added time!

Basically yes. It's not as straight forward as last man or not. The positioning of players, movement etc is all important

Of course I am. I'm allowed to say that our fans seige mentality and insistence that their is a conspiracy against us is daft and that sometimes refs can just be poor in general without being a secret opposition fan

Ps I have also said on here that he played far too much stoppage in my mind

I think people were more pissed off as earlier we retained play and would of been on a good counter the ref stopped play straight away pointing to his head. But they appeared to be no head injury at all. Things like that obviously frustrate fans a little consistency would be nice.

Yep, you're right. I can only think that the ref called it as "a promising attack" rather than "clear goalscoring opportunity" for both Pinnock and the Charlton defender's tackle on Brown.
