There is always a pecking order. Whatever jungle we are in we will be both hunter and hunted. We have secured some players over other clubs above us and will lose some to others below. Its how it is and in fact has always been, its just the financial ends of the scale have widened massively.
Exactly correct what some have already said on here. It isn't that we can't compete financially with some of these clubs - just that we won't for certain players. If another club offers more than we feel their value deserves, then good luck to them. Whether it's a premier league team or someone like Bolton or even fleetwood town, if they are going to offer more wages than a player is worth, more fool them. Might a player not choose a club in a lower division because they love playing and want to be somewhere that guarantees them regular football? If so I'd commend rather than criticise that.
