RE: You've been up there and checked? Oh come on. Anyone'd think we were in the North Pole the way some folk are talking.
Well I can see the ground from here there's a little snow in the middle of the ponte roof. There's NO ICE on any on the roof of my house, surrounding building roofs, nor are there any icicles anywhere I can see. Draw your own conclusions from that. Early yesterday morning at the ground. Different snow! ... and I'm not kidding! Really powdery... cant make a propes snowman with it cos it wont stick. (seestars)
If we pretend to think...
...that that picture gives any indication ofan absence of ice on the stands or proof that the track surrounding the pitch isn't frozen will you change the record?

Journo mate, what has Leeds got to do with it? We play in Barnsley. I live in Barnsley, about a mile from Oakwell. I've still got about three inches of snow in the garden, there's still snow and ice on the street and all the melt from yesterday has frozen pretty hard over night. I'm not saying the safety inspectors got it right necessarily, but the conditions around where I live would be very hazardous for 11,000 people to negotiate.
How can you judge it as a "bizarre decision" when you have no fecking idea.....
...about conditions in the ground? He's been in there, you haven't.
Unbelievable.

Piss off you icist The sun permeates everywhere, especially at this time of year when it's at its hottest.
No, nothing of the sort I'm saying there's lots of snow and ice where I live which is quite close to Oakwell.
RE: Piss off you icist
Well it wants to get on with defrosting a couple of brains round here.

He's got a point though It is completely and utterly pointless. Because if there's ever a need to use it, the ground is either going to be covered in snow, ice, or frost, all of which are slippy. So we might as well not bother with it. In what circumstances would it be any use?
