The thing is though that we all know Gerrard isn't 'sound' off the pitch is he. He's a thug who assaults people unprovoked and then claims he was simply getting the first shot in in case a random person hit him. #bentjury

Completely agree. They didn't do enough about what went off back then so it's just carried on & on. The only way to stamp it out is for refs to start carding every player that surrounds / abuses him. The problem is there's too many refs who seem worried about upsetting managers / home crowds

    I've no idea.

I know he got found not guilty but seen as I wasn't there I don't really have an opinion beyond that. I take it you were witness to the events?

Anyone who has seen the widely available cctv footage has witnessed what went on. Fact is Gerrard threw the first punches, he probably was provoked by words/behaviour but that shouldn't be enough for self defence. If he wasn't a rich and famous footballer it would have been a guilty verdict.

He's saying (quite reasonably) that if the trial of the Liverpool captain takes place in Liverpool Crown Court there's probably going to be some bias amongst the jurors.

If there's no spark or aggression in football, the game would be boring to watch, just like rugby is. Sin bin? Lol now that would be pathetic tbh. When your a sportsman your mentality is to win! So sometimes you do loose your head. And swear, nowt up with that.

I don't necessarily agree with that. Of course there's a chance he could be judged by someone with Liverpool favouritism but then again I imagine there's plenty of judge's who like Everton & Man Utd who may well be biased against Gerrard.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.
One of many unfortunately Fi. No respect for the laws of the game, the authority of the officials or their profile and the influence this has. No other sport has so many thugs, mercenaries and utter ****s playing it.

I'm giving my opinion on what went on, nothing wrong with that. I am fully aware that he was found not guilty, thanks for pointing it out though.

I've seen the video and there was no physical provocation or indication that Gerrard was in immediate danger. he simply attacked someone.

And I am sure that the jury was biased and bent. The liverpool captain and a hero in the city was found not guilty by a liverpool jury despite clear evidence of his guilt
