Re: Well reasoned, old mate I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man. A latter day 'Wolfie Smith' only much wider.
Re: Well reasoned, old mate Rebuttal as well, you'll be telling me your fingers slipped next ... That's it I am now officially a keyboard warrior !

Re: Redstar vs. BFCDave If you shot the first through a wide angle lens and the second without the Movember and hair then, yeah, that'll do !
The British Coal industry was the finest and safest in the world. It employed not only miners and good engineers but had a vast number of local companies. On its suppliers list. What Thatcher did was Criminal. She did to the miners and the Steelworkers what Hitler could not do. She levelled Sheffield, and all the pits. She destroyed all the working ethics and communities. She put youngsters on schemes that were not only slave labour but were health and safety wise non existent. The present Tories are now at it again, same principals. It has always being Labour support workers, and Tories control the money market as they withdraw the money when Labour gets in. What all this has to do with Barnsley is some lads cannot now afford it.
Was a miner during this period, I will not shed a tear when Thatcher finally goes, All my brothers and dad worked in the mine,So did my uncles and Cousins.Sure did wreak havoc when the pits closed, I got out could see the writing on the wall,Still miss the comaradarie. If they did open up the mines again we would have to recruit overseas as there is not many left who have skills to work in the pits.Thatcher was hell bent on breaking the unions especially the NUM,Those in Notts forever hang their heads in shame for not backing their fellow miners.
