    Them arseholes wouldn't respect the silence anyway we all know it. On the flipside we live in the land of free speech (supposedly) so maybe the club didn't feel right forcing a silence on their fans when not all of them would want to participate. At least at Oakwell we will respect it properly.

    The reason the behind this is because Celtic cannot guarantee their fans will respect the minutes silence

    Totally wrong - Stupid thing there is alot of celtic supporters who have recently been killed fighting for there country .

    Yes agree with your first point and Celtic's efforts to out these people has IMO been minimal.
    Again I agree with your second point but is the minutes silence not for all those people who have died in various conflicts. I mean Women and Children, innocent civilians who have all been victims of war's atrocities.

    TBH B_L you really should not be commenting on the problems of Rangers and Celtic on this board. No one is really interested. As you know I'm a Dundee United fan and I try to keep any reference of my team to a minimum. Again no one is really interested in Dundee United on here.
    I come on here to keep up to date with all things Barnsley as they are my prefered English team. You really should do the same.

    To be fair Ian, general chit chat is great, it takes away from focussing on us only playing for 55 minutes of any Championship Football game.

    I think they're a set of cnuts for that.

    But it's fuelled by ignorance and a biased view of the world.

    And they aren't on their own in that - whatever religious/spiritual/political/whatever view.

    It's the opposite of what you wanted, you wanted to say something and not have anyone say anything back that disagrees with you.

    To do that, you'd have been better off wrting it on a piece of paper in your bedroom, sticking it up on the wall and then sitting and watching it, smiling to yourself.

    Perhaps you could have got a few of your like minded Jewish friends along, pointed it out to them and perhaps asked them to write something on paper and stuck that up below.

    I appreciate your comments.

    But the only football team this weekend not completing the minutes silence is Celtic. Hence the reason i brought this up .

    If it was Burnley , Forest or Donny doing the same i would have still brought this to peoples attention.

    To say nobody's interested and where 3 pages down the line on this thread i dont think im doing too bad.
