    You could catch the train to Darton (next stop on line from Barnsley) and go to the Rose & Crown. It's been an away friendly pub in the past. Pool table, darts, Big Screen and plenty of room. Cheap pint as well.

    Train back into town runs at quarter past the hour - But be carefull if your going form Barnsley to Darton. The Leeds express train doesn't stop and you'd end up in Wakefield.
