Some of the big teams have lost friendlies they should have won recently, whereas we have two 1-0's. They are difficult games to play are warm ups, we have at least looked solid and although we haven't scored freely we have won and could have had a couple more goals. Its gonna be tough to get out of the group but if we can stay solid we can do it.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.
If I was a left-sided player knowing I'd be up against Glen Johnson, I'd be laughing. He's fine going forward, but as a defender, he's absolutely shocking. A decent side will tear us to bits down that flank. Everything else looked okay against an average Belgian side. I'm not reading much into it.

i dont know how james milner gets in the team totally usless cant cross for toffee.
in my opinion think walcott would be better pace to burn and can score a goal or two. although he cant cross either.

Thats what 20 million plus pound man Hazard did didn't he

Oh wait, no he didn't. The right side will be a team. Milner and Johnson will defend as a team and will attack as a team.
They've had 2 good attacks against them and they haven't got past them yet.

As P72 says, 1-0 times too are good results. done
It would have been easy to go against a weaker team and win 4/5/6-0 like dutch have but he haven't done anything yet.

we will see when ribery rips them both to shreds every time.
two 1-0 are ok and to be quite honest i think roy will make us hard to beat. but the right side is the weak link in the team.

No he played against Bosingwa who's a lower ranking right back.

Chelsea tried to get Johnson and he choose Liverpool and Chelsea ended up with Bosingwa.

Chelsea also sold Johnson in 2007

He'll get his chance against Riberry next Monday. If he's good enough to keep his opponent in check, he'll not need the help of the wide man in front of him, whether it be Milner or Walcott. It's a great test for the lad, as Riberry is certainly one of the danger men for France.

Every Full back needs help from the man in front whether it be Hassell with O'brien or Ashley cole with Juan mata.

Not having ago at you BigLil but Johnson was 23/24 at that age and wanted to play games.

He was showing indiscipline off the pitch at the time

And hadn't fulfilled his early promise on it, that's why he was moved on.
If he's a better defender than Riberry is an attacker, then he won't need anyone's help. Should Johnson be incapable of handling his direct opponent by himself, then his team mates will have to help him out.
I know you're not having a go, mate, but it's worth remembering just because others sees things differently doesn't mean that they're automatically wrong. Personally, I believe there's better defensive options available at full back for Hodgson than Johnson (eg. Richards or Jones). In my opinion, he'll need the help of a colleague to nullify the threat of Riberry. Going forward, Johnson presents a threat to the opposition. However, being an old fashioned bugger, I believe the main strength of a defender is to defend proficiently.

I think your building Ribery up a little bit too much here

I believe he can pose a threat to England

I don't believe Johnson can handle him alone and England will double up on Riberry when he gets the ball.
    Just expressing my opinion.
