What do people think about BFC taking some of the players to Spain for training?

McNumpty will definitely be **** scared of football with some of the support he is getting on here. We need all our players united on the battle front this next few weeks

Have you not noticed though that mcnumpty was nowhere near the side for nearly all our unbeaten run. That is no coincidence I'm afraid. I went against wolves last Tuesday and after the early scare we settled down and played ok at the back. Then mcnulty came on for the last 15 and we looked as shaky as we did for 90 minutes at the back losing to city. I've no mad vendetta about the kid but he has has his chances I'm afraid and stalled on most occasions unfortunately. The lads just not good enough. It's not about fans getting on his back cos he came into a team flying high at Bristol away from home with fans right behind the team and he had a shocker again. If flicker sees something in the lad then he should loan him out somewhere to get regular games. I tend to think though he's not going to cut it at championship level and we will continue to concede silly goals and lose matches with him in the side unfortunately.

My opinion, for what it's worth,

Is that a back three from the quartet of Foster, Hassell, Cranie & Kennedy is the best we can go with. However, due to Golbourne's injury, I think Kennedy will play at either left back, or left wing back, unless we bring in someone else (either from within the club via the Academy or U21's, or in on loan) to cover that position.

I know, I know. I really was just saying. I agree he isn't good enough, he showed some potential last season in a very poor team but this year he has looked poor (save for a couple of good performances).

    That's because he was injured.
He played in c clean sheeting and a winning side against Leeds and Burnley.
Or they went long and that's the defences weakness with pretty much every combo since the Posh game since Steele come back in to the team.

It's confidence. you have a problem with something and it keeps coming back at you.
On my driving lessons, i have a problem with Box Hill, some of you might know it. I see that the instructor said next left and i just lose it. It's the same with the team in my opinion. The other team know this too. The confidence must be rock bottom for corners.

Like Steele said a few month ago, if you could bottle confidence you'd me a millionaire.

Could it be that maybe the team has lost confidence in McNulty which is why whenever he plays our defence as a whole is all over the place and concedes goals like they're going out of fashion?

He's not been in the team and we have looked shocking SuperTyke.

Ever since the Posh game, i haven't seen us look good at the back. People can say i'm getting on at him.I'm not. Steele does not help at all.
When he first came to the club he came for some, he doesn't now. I think the lack of confidence comes from him. He works on this, i've seen it but i don't think its the right sort. Maybe he's still got a problem with the hip? Maybe that's ok now but in his mind it's not? i don't know.

I've started thinking negatively every time they get a cross in or a corner.
    Thats not normal for me.

IMHO people are being way too harsh on McNulty. He was one of our better players last year in his first season at this level. He won players player and other Championship clubs were interested in him. I had issues over whether he and Foster could play together, but the consensus on here was we shouldn't sell him and with a commanding centre half alongside him we would have a good partnership.

This year how many games has he had in a row? He got injured and missed 8 weeks. Then got injured again. He has come in to a losing team on numerous occasions when others have been out, alongside an ever changing defence. He is out of form and low on confidence. But to write him off on the back of that is too soon for me.

I actually think the point about him going on loan is a good one, and at the moment with everyone fit he wouldn't get in. But to say he's had his chance? Really?

I actually thought he was one of our poorer players last season and how he gt players player of the year is a bigger mystery than the Bermuda triangle.

I also think he's had a lot of chances, played loads of games last season, played quite a few this season too compared to better players.

    Agree.
Maybe he could have a month at Shrewsbury and we can have Edwards back soon?

Yet in every thread you have a pop at McNulty.

You seriously believe that? Apart from one moment of head tennis in the box we didn't look like conceding at all.

    At Corners we have Supertyke.

    Every single game after that.

Not sure if you went to Charlton but we never looked like conceding from goal in that game. We had the bad Forest game and Ben got some stick but people were waiting for him to make a mistake. Steele was in after that and we've not been able to stop the wave of goals from corners.

But you were in a minority I would say who thought he was poor last year. He was inconsistent but had some cracking games too.

I doubt he's started more than 3 games in a row, if that. Centre half is all about partnerships. Hence why we've looked shaky the last two games, change in formation versus Wolves and a change in personnel versus Bristol City
