I'll take your word for it because I can't remember either way to be honest.

Getting back to McNulty a little bit I feel a bit sorry for him because I think he is a very poor player but I also think he knows he isn't good enough. Have you seen how much time he spends applauding the fans after every game whether we've won or lost? It's almost as if he's saying 'thankyou for not getting on at me, I know i'm not good enough but I do try'.

Ship him out on loan, let him have a go in league one and it'll either give him confidence to come back better or prove he isn't good enough, either way the club can't lose.

Never have I known such a big deal been made of a sliced clearance. The ball was in a less threatening area after he'd kicked in than before, it's not like he had a shot at our own goal. Whenever any other defender makes one it's not even mentioned once.

    On topic though:
I think it's a good idea. Flicker has said that it's become difficult to train at Oakwell because of the state of the pitches. He also said that he wants to avoid training indoors as that is where most injuries are picked up.
I think they've earned it anyway.

Burnley, Leeds, Ipswich, Hull, MIllwall. The 5 games immediately after Posh - 1 goal conceded total.

    Proper frail.

Whatever lads eh, leave those rosé tinted specs on if you want. Lets see how many more games we win if he starts from now on. I predict a struggle to stay up with him in the back four that's all I'm saying. Ill be the first to hold my hands up and say I'm wrong if he does play well from now until seasons end believe me. He may have had a few good games last season but the facts are we stayed up by default with the likes of mcnulty in defence. Hence his effect on the team if he played so well was minimal. I'm glad at least one or two other reds fans can see my point of view, there were two on football heaven saying the same the other night. Shame I don't seem to see the same balance of opinions on here when i respond/post something, ah well....:-/

To be fair mate people are just making a reasoned argument of their opinion. They aren't having a go at you, and you don't need to be so defensive. Plenty agree with your view and its as valid as my opinion. I just don't think he deserves to be written off on the basis of sporadic appearances between injuries, and a loss of form.

I'm not writing him off but he needs games out on loan in another team. Not only to get game time but to prove he can do it at this level. If he cant, let him go in the summer. We can ill afford to experiment in our current predicament judging by past form. This I think is the reason flicker is trying but failing to get a replacement for goldbourne, 15 snubs by players it said on footy heaven tonight. Lets hope flicker gets the right defender in sooner rather than later....

I agreed earlier that a loan may be a good option BUT we can only do that if we get someone in the door because we don't have enough cover at centre half with Kennedy needed at wing back. Either way it doesnt matter if we defend as a team like we did against Bristol City and the first half v Wolves. The criticism of McNulty is deflecting from a poor couple of games collectively.

    Ultimately I trust Flicker's judgement

The next few games will tell us.

As long as they've not been on the piss every night I'm not too fussed

We'll have none of this McNulty/Wiseman bashing anymore thank you. Look at my avatar, LOOK AT IT!

How can you bash them? They look coooooool.

Seriously though, we ought to support them, not berate them. Even though Bobby Hassell is better than either.
