    The activities of Portsmouth I suspect badly skewed that model. Additionally the effect of the edges to turnover cap had massively changed the scene in both leagues 1 and 2.

    55% of turnover to wages means that clubs can't just prop up the wage bills.

    They killing em off now ? I thought Lindley's paid for the contract and that was that, no more income for BFC ? Or do they pay a %age of takings ?

    One would hope that the 'new' regime of Ben & Maurice are able and capable to start to address income and revenue streams other than match and season tickets.

    I believe theres a percentage take of some sort as well. The problem is with some of these revenue streams is they have to get them back first! Lindleys have a nother season after this. Then theres the shop etc.

    I think there are exceptions for those that have dropped from the championship for so long which is how wolves still have a huge wage bill.

    There are but next season we are unlikely to face any opposition that is basing their wage structure on that with Wolves presumably going up.

    Yeah, so I reckon my initial estimate of 2 million in season ticket sales is probably about right. I wasn't looking at what the club may potentially have to spend, purely the season ticket revenue.

    Sorry answered the question badly. £1.2m rings a bell. £2m is way off if you say there are 7000 season ticket holders and 1,000 or so of those are probably free childs ones.

    Difficult to believe given that clubs cannot spend more than 55% of turnover on wages that we genuinely believe that 16 clubs next season will have a higher turnover than us because that a in effect what we are saying. Whilst owners can potentially invest in signings they can't prop up wage bills. I can nly think of 6 that would potentially have a bigger turnover than us.

    Exactly. This is the cause of my frustration(s). I would say that depeding on who comes down with us only Sheff Utd and Bristol City would have a bigger income than us. How much we can generate really depends on what happens on the pitch but if this is the kind of negative ***** we're peddling then I fear the worst.
