    Re: Really?

I think you are unfair Kev, could be correct about the team, but as a town its head and shoulders above Barnsley, speaking as someone who lived for 35 years in Barnsley.

    Sorry, mate

But I despise the place. I don't like anything about the town or club. Others think differently, which is fair enough.

Liverpool. Hated them growing up in the 70's and 80's when they won everything and they had an army of plastic fans in every town. Still hate them now.

Cardiff and Swansea because they're Welsh and should be in their own league but thats a mild dislike rather than a hatred.

Agreed. Huddersfield is way above Barnsley town wise.

Grimsby - Went there one Bank Holiday Monday and it kicked off big style. Walking down the road my brother was spat at in the face by a group of about a dozen lads. Horrible place, horrible fans. I hope they fold.

Pompey - I wish I could pay my empoyees 5p in the pound and sleep well at night. Also the fact that their local constabulary made me miss my bus home and it cost me an arm and a leg to get back.

Long term dislike of Man Utd, cos of all the glory hunters who "used to support them when they were in the old second division" - Strange how you never wore the shirts and bored me f**king senseless for hours about how good they were at the time.

Now, same applies to Man City and Chelsea. In fact, I can't stand most Premier teams. Or Championship ones. In fact, I can't stand football, full stop.

    Apart from local rivalries...

West Ham: Media darlings, perceived as massive despite doing nothing for decades. Every 'Mighty Hammers' game involves showing Brooking in the stands. Every second reporter seems to support them and went on about how 'everyone wants to see West Ham back in the big time' last season.

Brighton: The ultimate new-breed plastic club. Suddenly found an extra 15,000 fans, stadium more akin to the theatre than football, fans who forget their Withdean days and now think they're massive. Also seem to have appointed themselves as some kind of cultured, morally superior set of fans what with their swear bans and general demeanour.

Arsenal: Look past the good football and see the petulance, lack of English players, moaning, whinging, expensive tickets and gagging-to-be-Barcelona desire.

Leicester City: Don't hate them, just find their fans to be arrogant, annoying, plastic and generally sillly.

Portsmouth: Spent stupidly, got into trouble, spent stupidly, delved deeper into trouble, owed millions, still spent money, have an endless supply of would-be owners, still putting out a good side with players I would imagine earning a fair wage.... BUT STILL seem to get sympathy with constant references to their 'wonderful' fans.

In contrast to many, I don't particularly hate Leeds, Manchester United nor Chelsea. Honourable mentions to Liverpool, who tend to play the victim too much, Celtic sing dodgey songs and get away with it and for some reason Norwich seem too much of a goody two shoes.

Rangers/Celtic - Vile football clubs with vile fans who try and take the moral high ground over each other. And they can't seperate football from religion. Morons.

Hearts - Horrible fans, whacky owner, and always breed a few cnutish players too.

Liverpool - Once again, horrible fans who are always oh so hard one by.

30 years of living amongst the most loyal fans in the world. Oh aye. Loudest bunch of opinionated arrogant self centred dildos ever. deluded skunks. Before Keegan didb't even know they played up here. On the up side, there's nothing funnier than being stood in a Low Fell pub rammed with thick geordies while proper teams humiliate them on Sky. Then they go home and batter their missus, which is nice of them.

Man utd. Hate the *******s with a real passion. Fans, ground, players, programme sellers, catering staff, physios, groundsmen......and least but not last Alex 'whiskey face 4 eyed Scottish ******' ferguson!

In general I have a dislike for just about most teams apart from Chelsea and Arsenal.
