We've definitely missed him. Both his work rate and the fact that he'd been getting and scoring from a chance almost every week. Cole's form dropping off while Winnall has been out hasn't helped either.
I think his graft as well as goals gave others a lift. He set a great example every week. Inspired them I think. And as you say, Cole hasn't looked anything like as good for the last month or so (fatigue?) and of course, Hourihane's enduring his first lean spell. Sooner we get to January the better. I'd happily take an avalanche of snow and a few games postponed.
I've liked the Chronicle more these past few weeks. Way too many times in the past you can tell the sports journalists that work for them try and be too diplomatic as they don't want to rub the wrong people up the wrong way or risk losing insider information. It's refreshing especially reading some of the stuff Doug O Kane has said in recent weeks. I particularly liked yesterday how many of our players are trying to hide recent poor form down to Williams not playing which is a cop out when he's hardly played for us, isn't our player and hasn't even scored for us. The way so many players have looked at him not being available for recent form you'd think we had Messi on loan not a Fulham squad player.
