RE: Well UKiP leader Nigel Farage used to be in the Tory party didn't he? Yes the party has a large proportion of former Tories. You are completely right. However there are others like myself that are of the centre left. However we have a common purpose and objective, that to give a voice to all those who oppose the undemocratic and corrupt European Union. The public of Europe is bombarded with EU propaganda. Anyone who speaks against the empire is branded a 'racist' or fruitcake or whatever. This is simply not the truth. There are legitimate reasons for opposition to the EU. These are important issues that do not relate to race or any fanatical crazy ideas. So yes I am happy to put my hat in with former Tories to unite on this common issue if we have a chance of getting our message heard together. The Socialist Labour Party for example strongly opposes the EU. If I believed that they had a chance of winning seats and getting the case against the dictators heard, I would consider giving them my support. It is a means to a very important end that being democracy and self determination.
Well they've certainly got some 'interesting' policies, Conko. Like letting schools decide which pupils they want to admit, giving parents education vouchers. One I particularly likeis the mention ofEton and Bradford Grammar School being used to 'turn around' failing comprehensives! Knowing a couple of teachers at Bradford Grammar that one really tickles me cos that would be funny!

RE: Well they've certainly got some 'interesting' policies, Conko. I don't think allowing schools to decide which pupils to accept is quite as ridiculous as allowing an unelected bureaucracy to decide over 75% of our laws, do you?
RE: Voter apathy, only benefits such as the BNP.. with Proportional Representation as with the Euro vote.
Just giving you a few examples of the policies of the type of people you're throwing your lot in with.
