Bit harsh on richards I think he can still do a job, but we need to play to his strengths. He is not a goal scorer, and if he is going to play the target man, we need the other striker to be somewhere near him so if/when he brings the ball down, there is at least another play in the same half of the pitch.
also has a habit of getting his head down and sprinting the ball out of touch. Needs to look up more, and get some awareness of where he is. The pitches at west ham must be wider than at oakwell.

It would mean our wingers providing more defensive cover. I think eckersley could handle it, but what about on the right. Austin not too great getting down the wing, devaney no chance defensively. It leaves a big hole there, but gives us room for two solid midfielders, and an extra creative pushing forward from midfield.</p>
