for a 17 year old who's only just broken into the first team it is. especially in a physical league like this 1
The lad Bale was piss poor, he WAS NOT INJURED, his pride was..... you seem an intelligent guy, get your head round it, the first half you were mullered, second half you improved slightly, your fans, approx 700 max, poor show that, were very very quiet, I was sat in the East stand very close, I could see about 20 or 30 right at the back attempting to create an atmos, could'nt pull it off. I wish you and your club no ill will at all, but, you must come down to earth you are in for a lot of very hard games this season, good luck for the season.
Who was the soap dodger at full back because he left his dog on a piece of string tied up outside the ground.
shud we count ourselves as a 'big club' because we have spent time in the top-flight not so long ago??? I wish teams would talk about the past. They WERE in the premiership. You have to look where you are now. And we are at the same level as you. SO R COLCHESTER and theyre not a big club... PS- i know we were only there for a season!!!
It was Christopher Reeve It seems his footballing brain was paralysed. Seriously - I think the lad you mean was called "Crusoe".
look TBH i do respect your club and ur fans, but if u keep slaggin me off for tryin 2 get my point across thats all goin 2 change. am 1 of the few fair saints fans there are. i already said i didnt go to the match. but the commentators WHO WERE BARNSLEY FANS bearin in mind, said bale looked jaded especially after the challenge from devaney. u must be able to understand y we're annoyed we didnt manage to beat a club who had jst got promoted when we have the strongest squad we've had in a while, the best manager in this league, the highest attendances in this league and the backing of many experts for promotion. it's just bitterness with most fans. ignore it. i'd be the same if u were plymouth, or leeds.
"you saw us in ONE GAME" Saw you against derby too and you put in a mid table (At best) performance where you were poor at the back and could have been 4 or 5 goals behind at the break.

RE: "you saw us in ONE GAME" trust me, am not just makin excuses here but losin claus shook us up a lot in that game. it was first game of the season and we lost our captain after 2 minutes. half the team dont know each other and were confused for the first half.
I watched the match on the radio. Southampton dominated. Radio Barnsley said they brought 70,000,000 fans. That's almost as many as Doncaster last season. The foetus on the left-side of their defence is better than Paolo Maldini - so the radio said.
Yes, but that's where you're wrong. You don't have the best manager in the division - we do (genuinely), and further more, you're frustrated because you got us wrong. Your logic is all wrong! 1) Spend money and you'll succeed automatically (?? you can't buy resilience) 2) Ex-prem teams go straight back up (shall we name the ones who haven't? us included) 3) We're a big club etc etc (yes aren't you all) 4) Team just promoted = easy to beat (we didn't get promoted by losing matches you know!). What you'll find is, when you come back down to earth - pride comes before a fall, and the bigger they are the harder they fall. This is a tough, competitive division, with some quality football teams in it who would give an awful lot to go (in most cases back) to the Prem. You'll have to earn every point. There are no easy games. If you're not picking up 3 points you've got nobody to blame. Water always finds it's level.
wtf is ur problem? i can understand y the other saints fans hate u now. i never said u were better. i never said we had more fans. i was just explainin y we're annoyed at not havin beaten a team who 2 seasons ago were two leagues below us. u wud be annoyed if u drew 2-2 away to accrington stanley, would u not?
fair enough But what you are saying is that you were awful in one game, struggled to cope with us in one (and i'll be the first to admit that we arent exactly chelsea), managed a draw against west brom and got a win against coventry.
Not exactly the best start to the season is it.
And Bale is **** and that was before devaney fouled him (which he made a meal of and then suddenly recovered in remarkable style as soon as the referee blew his whistle for the game to continue and showed no ill effects of the terrible injury he had just received...
