    RE: In my book

How bout this scenario then Nudge, I'm in a pub drinking with a load of mates who are fans of other teams, in come 10 Barnsley fans and start laying into them for no reason other than they are fans of other teams. In my world I defend my friends, I suppose in your world you'd turn on your mates because they are lower down your scale of loyalty.

You need to re-evaluate your world view.

I wasn't going to comment on such an ADULT topic

but this has got to be a wind up.

Why should a colour shirt make any difference to you?

Surely if someone is being picked on or beaten up regardless of age, colour, creed, sex or football colours you would try and help even if all you could do is phone the police?

At least that's what most people would do.

I think the architects of this project need to go a little deeper.

I once helped the police catch and arrest a couple of Barnsley 'fans' who were knocking seven shades of **** out of a Liverpool fan, unprovoked.

In your warped world does this make me traitorous scum?

    Interesting thread though

Nudge has spouted some brainless drivel, but he has quite nicely demonstrated the mindset of folk who like a bit of a scrap. I'm not entirely sure it is to do with BFC or football or anything more than a dumb instinct to associate yourself with a group of people, and then use that as an excuse to join in in a barney against some other group.
Got nowt to do with loyalty to BFC. Swap football for religion and you've got the same thing.
Nudger as microcosm of the middle-east conflict! But is he Israel or Palestine?

If you've ever seen the brochure, you would think they'd been caning the dizzyade. Skyways, mockups from pop bottles. Tuscan Hillside.

"Barnsley is a Tuscan hill village,
    there's no doubt about it:
Barnsley is a Tuscan hill village.
the red roofs of the simple
    houses glow like tomatoes from
    Barnsley market in the impossibly
beautiful light of the gala bingo
    by the bus station, because:
Barnsley is a Tuscan hill village..."
