I can see two bits of summat on it.
But I think that might be splashed cornflake milk.
Is it the Beatles' Puce Album?

RE: Ogdens Nutgone Flake - Small Faces well I was only 9 , next album was yardbirds then got into two-tone.years before zappa.
I didn't discover frank till I was about 16, I heard some music in a french travellers caravan,on cortonwood pit stacks in about86 ,they had movedonto the site for some reason, never could work out why you would rather live on a slag heap than maybe a layby near the coast?? ,Pierre or summat the guy was called who owned the van was called, He'd played sax with gong , but was all a bithot tongs agogo... he put some tunes on"you are what you is". I was hooked,I needed more.

First lp was Pinups by Bowie - not wanting to take any moral high ground here by having a "hip" choice, I soon took a huge dip in taste and started listening to things like Mud & Showaddywaddy soonafter, some say my tastes have never improved from this nadir.
The first single I bought with money from my hot sweaty palm was 2 Little Boys by Rolf Harris (told ya!)
The first ever CD I bought however was Knife by Aztec Camera (still listen to itoccasionally), the last CD being Momofecku by Elvis Costello (2 weeks ago), the latest music I've downloaded was Live in West Hollywood by Nels Cline - that's just finished downloading.

You're right I bought it because of Imagine, didn't reckon much as an 8 yr old to listening to Yoko orgasm though.
RE: Sad Cafe - Live. After seeing them with me mate at Huddersfield Poly in about 1981-2. nt On With The Show always makes me smile and put me in a good mood. Brings back the memory of being stood near the front and looking at the song list taped to the light box at the front of the stage, then the band came on and broke into that song to open. I'd only ever heard Everyday Hurts before. I remember the dry ice, the sweat and Paul Young's perm and superb voice starting..."Ain't life funny? Always gets me that way. It's never sunny...it just rains and rains and rains.." Fantastic night with a 600 capacity in their sports hall.
I always think people have the tendancy to lie when talking about this kind of thing and choose a seminal album that they bought just after their first album, after something like Now 29. Following this theme, mine was Thriller - Michael Jackson.
