    Richard Wright was insanely good that game. Probably the match of his life. David Watson got injured against Norwich the season before and never played again. Kevin Miller was a solid goalie but not in the same league as Watson, who was potentially world class.

    I agree - I think it was the appointment of Allan Clarke and the upturn in fortunes that followed that sucked me in as a very young supporter. It excited my Dad as well and gave us a bond and something to talk about. I might well have lost interest as a kid otherwise and done something more productive with my Saturday afternoons!
