My first car; I paid £275 for a 1968 1500cc VW Beetle, MUA174F. My brother-in-law bought it for me in Barnsley, as I was serving with the RN in Plymouth. I got a lift to the M6/M56 junction, being dropped off about midnight and then I hitched 6 lifts (including a Police car) arriving in Barnsley @ 06:00 in a Rolls at my parents home to collect the car. I told my BIL I would like a Beetle or a Moggy Traveller. I must have liked Beetles as I am now on my fifth, a 1973 1600cc, 0 to 60 in 3 weeks!! Driving back the next day to Plymouth was fun as not driven a car since passing my test about 6 months beforehand.
Old Vauxhall Cavalier. It was green with a red wing. My brother gave me it as he’d got a newer one - I think I saved him scrapping it lol
G-reg white Seat Ibiza SXi Bought it in Chorley in 1994 for £1400 cash. Had a few bumps and bruises when I bought it but fantastic value - and perfect for Blackpool where I was living at the time!!
I'm taking the dog out for a walk in a minute... not a big dog... but he'd have more pulling power than your 850 mini..
I think at that time, my F reg was an '88 model, and it was classed as the Escort mk4. But to me, it didn't look much different to the mk3 version!. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Escort_(Europe)
A 1961 blue Mini 495 BGD, followed by a1967 bronze Ford Corsair 2000E. The Corsair originally belonged to the managing director of Ford service garage on Dodworth Road.
Black mini, with red go faster stripes & checked seats. 1000 cc T reg. It had been imported & the steering wheel moved over, as a result there wasn't much sound proofing, but i always has the cassette player cranked up to 11, so didn't matter. Bought in 1983. I had it about 4 years.
How many people that answered this on here have used the make/model of their first car as a Security Question for something important? Just wondering!
