    Dog track at Wombwell. 3 times a week and was paid 2/6d. That's 12.5p in today's money. I paraded the dogs, took them to the traps and had to catch them after the race.

    First part-time job was collecting glasses at Whispers when I was at sixth form, but first full-time job was paediatric A&E nurse at Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool.

    After school and weekend job in a post office/newsagents in Crofton. That @ryhilltyke was my superior, slave driver he was!
