There's a wise old sage posting in that thread and no mistake.

Disrespect, arrogance, lack of judgement, naivety, incompetence, dishonesty...all words whizzing around my head concerning the owners at the moment. Certainly disrespect and arrogance towards the fans and former manager in their communication and apportioning of blame. I can't decide if this also extends to their view of the Championship...or whether there was just a staggering naivety, lack of judgement and incompetence about what was required...or could it have even been dishonesty about their goals. How could they seriously think this plan, taken to its extremes, was going to work in this division.

Not everyone but I take the point a lot were. I was worried about the numbers more than the quality of them.
But people who were happy are probably feeling they were taken in by the hype created by the club.

My response to the opening post try’s to give an answer to the question posed, but not just for new owners, these ones are capable but by choice choose not to execute the same plan.

    - They could communicate to fans and learn the feelings, building unity and togetherness. How? Firstly to engage and listen.Learn and take on board peoples feelings and thoughts. Fans don’t know how to run a club but they know how not to.

    - build a competitive on field strategy first. Maybe a director of football or someone with better knowledge of the leagues than the owners. It’s a known management technique to hire people better at things than yourself. He / She should build the strategy and present and seek approval for funding from owners.

    - Strategy should include style of play, balance of playing styles, cover for positions, experience vs nurtured talent, role and expectations of the academy, recruitment, Plan L1 vs Plan Champ.

    - Funding. New owners should look at club gearing and funding sources. While player sales funds a successful L1 it also risks an unsuccessful Champ season. We also know the current plan relies entirely 100% on player sales for business continuity of the club. This must change if competitive

    - hire a professional company to organise how the car park should work ;-)

We need a 3 point plan with leadership and accountability to the board

    1. Football Strategy. Delivers competitiveness and success within any league we are in
    2. Commercial and finance. Funds point 1, manages sustainability and infrastructure, investment, cost centres etc
    3. Fan experience. To improve and progress fans loyalty and enjoyment of being attached to the club

Cryne’s model wasn’t perfect. Too few people involved at the senior level, narrow band management but he did put his hand in his pocket. New owners wide commercial band, not much football experience, no CEO empowerment, and no direct investment.

I think, imho, a few of us thought great,... new players to develop etc but expected also the inclusion of around 3 loans to teach these kids and enhance their game.
That obviously never came and now you can see a squad of apprentices running around every week without guidance.
