Makes sense to me. The less disruption the better.

Agree with that first post..let's see what they can do..the lads are playing so well, I'd be loathe to fetch anyone in from outside to destabilise it.

Yeah it looked like Hecky was the main man today. He conducted his interview well enough as well

Continuity is the key and I would be more than happy with him till end of season .

If Tommy Wright stays , all well and good.

I said this morning I would be happy for them to stay. I would be amazed if we had another run of wins like we have had so we need to support them and ensure our expectations aren't too high. If they maintain progression that would be great.

Someone said they don't see a natural leader in these two. I thought the same from a distance but there's far more to leadership than what we would see from the stands. Right now we have a few leaders on the pitch so not a big issue this season. I believe Hecky and Tommy have the players and have the capability, just need our backing.

I would defo have them till the end of the season. I previously thought that if Johnson went then so should Tommy. If Tommy is up for the challenge and remains commited to the club then why not?

I think Heckingbottom (with Burton) showed he can get the team to respond after a pasting last season. The winning streak started after the 5-1 defeat at Crawley. Very different circumstances though. Wright and Hecky fine by me.

The thing for me would be choosing one of the two (preferably Hecky for me) to lead as the 'head' coach, with the one other as assistant. If we're going for current staff in the long run, and I would count the end of the season as such, I don't think it can work to have two men on an equal footing. One should have the final word. I can't imagine any two people who would agree 100% of the time when it comes to football. Just imagine any two posters on here trying to co-manage!

I would like to see us do the usual process when a manager leaves - compiling a shortlist, looking at who applies, and inviting anyone decent for an interview. Of course Wright and/or Hecky should be interviewed as well. Then we can made a confident choice over what's best, for the rest of this season at least.

Stick wi em till eos. Keeps the camp happy. Keeps the run going.
We need a Johnson type to keep this brand of football going rather than bringing in a robins type that would totally alter the style of play
