    No, but I bet I represent the majority..

    The make-up of both sides couldn't have been more different. Those in the TUC Rally made up of men and women of all ages and children. The BNP, well you've probably guessed it, largely made up of thuggish-looking males in their 20s and 30s.

    that simpy is not true, a sweeping generalisation if ever I have seen one. And no i do not support the BNP, and how anyone can call them a right wing party is beyond me. Nationalise this nationalise that load of B*ll*cks

    I wish I could have made it yesterday. How did it go?

    They're organising one of those vans that have large adverts on to go round Barnsley on Wednesday. It's stopping off at the college so at least I'll be able to get there for that.

    Look at the History of the party and its leader

    irrespective of what it's been called in the past.
    A leader who denied the historical fact and claimed that the Holocaust never happened.
    White supremacy
    Provided funds to help try and smash the Trade Unions
    and many manre more issues to that ilk

    Oh and by the way, I'm confident that if a poll was conducted amongst Reds fans, It would be a resounding anti-BNP.

    It was only organised by the TUC, there were many other people there.
    Barnsley College have a large following of students that are standing up to the BNP.

    Its often bene something i've thought about, the sterotypical make up of a party's followrs. Would it be a point of debate that the more thuggish members of the BNP are only seen in public as they are more up from defending themselves from attacks by anti nazi types?
    it seems that everyone on the BBs is free to express an opinion or support a political party but as soon as the BNP gets mentioned, witch hunts get started and people then go on the now predictable im a better socialist than you karma postings.

    Young Fearn re the van.do you mean Anti BNP or the BNP a

    Did you see the posters the BNP are using on their advertising campiagn vans, ie The American Guys and the Italian pensioners. Apparently the Agency who the photos belong to are looking into taking legal action against the BNP.

    its not stereotypical, These are the face of BNP

    perhaps suggesting that all anti-Nazi types attack BNP is stereotypical. As I said earlier, the TUC protesters included Men /Women Kids. whoin all probabiity would not have stood a cat in hells chance against the BNP lot had trouble flared up.
    Also, many people who gave their support yesterday either on the March itself or during the speaches were not all socialists.

    Barnsley TUC is not advocating voting for a particular Party..

    just not the BNP. People supporting the Rally yesterday included: Tories, Greens, Lib Dems, Old Labour, New Labour.
