The BNP has followers from every background as does every other party. Yet the BNP is the only party whom's promotional stand and followers have been attacked just for simpley being. Are you suggesting that its only the BNP that cuases trouble?

The BNP has followers from every background as does any other party, what Planet are you on ? I can honestly say that I have never seen or heard of anyone who could be described as for example, being of Black or Asian decendancy, being a supporter of the BNP. The BNP are simply trying to exploit and take full advantage of the current economical and political climate. Admittedly, like other organisations are, except their true aims and aspirations are perhaps camoflauged as they claim to represent other issues.
they are there, not in the numbers compared the Labour party but theres one or two. More worryingly though, the numbers of members belonging to the young white working class and the question should be asked why are they voting for the BNP and the 'big three' should be answering this issue. Having just got my BNP flyer through the post I have to admit that i was quite impressed with how it was put together, the content and structure and can see why they will get votes in june. Compared the the Labour one I got, it wipes the floor with them.
same as you wearing your Barnsley shirt represents a majority of Barnsley fans. The BNP had around the same number of votes on that poll as the big two. As in held its own ground.
Students... Students stand up for anything they think will get their picture in the paper. Students protest everything they possibly can, and mostly things that don't even concern them. Not all students do, but then again not all students will be standing up to the BNP. The ones who protest because they've got **** all else to do, like get a wash, will be there, though. Yours A. Student.
Tarntyke.
I don't think there's any need to get too wound up about the BNP mate. I don't think anybody thinks they could organise a piss-up in a brewery.

Maybe not But the forthcoming European elections are proportional representation, so every vote counts, but with the way most people feel about politicians at the moment there's likely to be a very low turn out. The BNP could very well get a candidate elected, which in turn leads to massive funding and more credibility. I think it's important to get the message out that the election is important and your vote matters. Be that Tory, Labour, Green Party, UKIP or whoever.
Exactly. Economic downturns tend to give the far right/left a much better chance in any election, but the PR system you've mentioned almost guarentees it. Add in the fact that it's a European election means the turnout will be considerably less than a GE and the most radical will have a much bigger percentage. The current climate is the perfect situation for the BNP to gain members and supporters by promising jobs and stricter immigration and for those unemployed I can't blame them being interested in the party. But you've only got to look at the last time a political party did that to get a little worried. About 1933 I think. . . . .
