The first articles from 2015 which says he's a left back. From what I've heard/ got told was he was been trained in position change to centr back and that was a move he had been working on for a while in there youth games.
The head coach shouldnt have signed a player who can play left back to play left back? Maybe he will play CB in the future. But it's a bit daft to suggest he got made a scapegoat by being played in a position which he was signed to play in and has previously played in. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
Both Sky Sports and the BBC reported us signing a left back. Though those sources are not necessarily known for accuracy at times. Physically, I see a centre half future for him, but only those in the club will know what makes him tick, his attitude/desire to succeed and have the professional knowledge to know. To be fair to Hecky and now Clapham too, given they played as a left back in their own careers, I'm happy to trust their judgement. Not that they'll get every judgement correct. Sky and BBC will have just repeat something that he's known for. It's for the club staff to see what he actually is. Barnsley's own site mentions a right back by the name of John Stones signing a 5 1/2 year deal with Everton. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2013/january/john-stones-signs-for-everton/
I agree re: BBC/Sky, hence the comment about accuracy. But then again, our own website quotes Kpekwa saying that he himself "....probably prefers left-back" Where has played in the 23's? Or was he injured for quite a bit ofmthe season? That would be a good pointer to his future with us as they've setmupmthe development squads to play in the same way, formations etc, as the first team? Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
Question is, can he be arsed & is he good enough? For me, he can't be arsed & he needs to change his attitude & workrate to get game time, jury is still out on his ability, he was new to us & didn't shine. Too many players 'have something' but clubs just need to get it out of them, no, they need to want to do it themselves. Nardiello & Jennings are examples for me, talented & lazy......
They talked about this on the latest Flintoff, savage and the ping pong guy. The coach is massive in motivation and its his role to get the best out of the players.
Yeah you're right. He was probably already demotivated enough by being forced to play in a position which he had previously played in, was bought to play in and also stated that he wished to play in. While Paul was no doubt off browsing through the latest Thomas Cook brochure planning his next cruise.
So if he's **** it's Hecky's fault for playing him out of position, and if he can't be arsed it's Hecky's fault for not motivating him properly. I'm looking forward to eventually reading how Hecky was responsible for the Titanic sinking, the second world war and the 2008 sub prime crisis.
it doesnt matter which position he used to play it was slack to play him at left back for the first team.
Not good enough either in attitude or ability to play centre half. Not good enough either in attitude or ability to play left back. If he cannot reach the levels of motivation needed to improve his game he will drop down the leagues. Let's hope he comes back a changed man.
I've got to admit, you have a wonderful knack at conveniently replying to only one of several points made to suit your agenda (and no I'm not referring to Hecky's cruise). To be honest, having defended you in the past, I can see why others seem to get a tad annoyed when trying to debate with you. I'll leave it there. Lovely weather outside, have a smashing day.
