What's it like hating a local rival who don't really hate you back?

    I don't care if the grunters love Barnsley FC to death, or loathe us more than they loathe the mini-pigs.

    I ******* hate them, regardless Really, really hate them, in a way that isn't good for me. Beating them would mean everything to me. The cnuts.

    I Work With A Couple Of Blades & Wednesday Fans

    They hate each other but also hate Barnsley they always say the Steel City Derby is there biggest game of the season but love to turn Barnsley over more because they live & work in Barnsley

    I think alot of it goes back to the first game of the season in the old 3rd division, after we had got promoted. We lost at home 3 nil to the pigs and it kicked off big time. For a few seasons that was the big game and thus became the hated rivals. Also, lots of Wednsday fans around the Hoyland area, Wombwell and Dearne Valley.
    Before Wednesday, in the old 4th division, i seemed to remember Bradford City as main rivals
