What's people's overiding memory of the strile?

RE: The town of Barnsley is a wonderful place

Of course the big cities and other towns have drug problems, but when the figures of addicts are worked out against populations it stands out that ex mining towns have bigger addiction problems.
Alot of addicts in the capitals and cities are homeless runaways from the smaller towns
