Highway Star on long motorway runs Still can't beat it. Made in Japan can make the most boring motorway come alive. Still like sport but after 2 knee ops it's getting tricky. Gave up football a long time ago but played cricket until last season because (as you may have heard) I buggered my knee on a skiing holiday on the day of the Chelsea win last season. Celebrating the goal that is, not while skiing! I have also cultivated my appreciation of beer and curry over the years as everyone knows. Not sure which Ferrari I prefer. I have several, all nice colours and it is tricky in the morning deciding which one to use. Not much room for shopping though, but they do break the ice at parties. Don't like all these arguments on here - they make me feel inadequate because I don't know enough to get involved. Nothing worse than arguing about something you know very little about, in my eyes. Lots of people on here appear to do it. I prefer to post absolute gibberish for a laugh rather than get too serious (although I have been "sucked in" on occasions).
RE: Highway Star on long motorway runs Purple are still cutting it. Knee ops - don't tell me! I've another coming up in a month and will probably be unable to attend games for about two months!!!! Cars!!!!!! £500 quote yesterday to replace a sensor! As for the arguments: As you know, I'd never be able to argue about something I know very little about.
Wimp! My first knee op was a full cruciate ligament replacement, about 20 years ago. Op on Monday, got discharged the next Saturday morning with a great pot on and sat in a wheelchair. Missus drove me directly to a pub for lunch, then on to Oakwell where I sat in the old disabled stand for nowt. Had pot on for 8 weeks - never missed a match. Get thisen darn! Seriously, good luck with the op. If I was God and got the chance to do a re-design, I'd start with knees. The bloody things just aren't up to the job.
RE: Overseas Aid is a good one if my memory serves me correctly the Uk government gave close to a billion to help China in this years olympics as well as over a million to two muslim armed forces clerks who sued due to being bullied in the work place. Not forgetting the mountain of money the GB taxpayer lumps into Europe, more than our illustrious neighbours and god knows how many billions to Africa to top up the rich dicators piggy banks, i mean buy mossi nets.... I have nothing against foreign aid but only after the needs of the UK and its populace has been serviced. Nb the armed forces, the front line troops lack basic equipment and modern armoured veichles. THey derseve funding before any tin pot African state.
RE: Could no longer resist. "Voluntary resettlement" does this mean that all those Europeans living in countries other than that of their ethnic origin must return 'home'? We will be stood shoulder to shoulder.

RE: Wimp! Cruciate ligament - childs play. I had microfracture on my knee last year (involves drilling little holes in the femur to allow stem cells to leak out and re-form cartilage). Re-hab is 8 weeks without weight bearing and six hours a day on a continuous passive motion machine. Could only go to the matches if BFC would supply a bed for me! Might need the same again but I'm keeping my toes crossed it's something easier.
If this thread is an attempt to show the BNP sympathisers on this board, then you've done a good job lad! They're pretty easy to spot aren't they?
Errrrrr....OK you win Sounds very serious, hope it goes well. Doctors and techniques these days are fantastic, as you probably know. I had an op on 1st September and managed 3 days skiing last week - 20 years ago I would have had to give up skiing altogether or risk not being able to walk. As I said, knees just don't work. Just about everybody I know in our age group, who has played sport or just been active in some way, has some sort of knee problem. Good luck once again.
Well said that man I remember watching a documentary a few years ago about the rise of the Nazi Party during the 30's. One elderly German said "At the beginning, you couldn't tell whether National Socialism was a good thing with a few bad side effects or a bad thing with a few good side effects." Anyone who can remember their recent history can be in no doubt as to the answer &, as someone once said, "Those that can't remember history are condemned to repeat it."
Yes they would deny it But I am elsewhere in this thread, and there is an implication that people who have contributed to this thread may be BNP supporters. To avoid confusion, it would be better if they were named, so that I can be ruled out of suspicion.
I think you can safely consider yourself ruled out. Althoughsuspicion was beginning to be aroused when you started complimenting a 15 year old boy!
OK Just for the record, I was complimenting his ability to contribute to the debate, not necessarily his actual views or opinions. I would not have been able to contribute at 15 - if I had tried, I would have looked even dafter than I do now on here.
RE: Overseas Aid is a good one [QUOTER]I have nothing against foreign aid but only after the needs of the UK and its populace has been serviced.[/QUOTE] Im afraid in a system that skews equality, you will never have that. Besides, what is classed as 'foreign aid' is a murky subject. A whole heap of money under that banner goes to giving training for police forces and the appropriate equipment to crush popular descent against unpopular leaders.
