Whats the cheapest I'll get a flat-screen tv for?

    But there was a programme on sky from the Hitachi factoy in japan (or china, one of the two) the other day showing how plasma TV's were made.</p>

    One of the technical tests that they undergo is a bloke hits them on the back a few times to listen for loose screws.</p>

    Well, take it from me, that Sony, Hitachi and the rest have stopped developing Plasma. All further investment is being ploughed into LCD. A plasma TV can be expected to lose half it's brightness within 2 to 3 years. It then needs regassing or disposing of.

    Also, a 45 inch plasma uses up to 1KW of power - the equivalent of burning a one bar eletric fire constantly.
