My November bill was £250 for both gas and electricity, I’m guessing December is going to break £300 with the cold snap we’ve had. I work from home and if no one is in I don’t put the heating on- my study just needs 500 watt electric heater to warm it up, so house stays at 13 degree’s otherwise. I’ll put it in for 3 hours in an evening to 18-19 degrees, and might have the electric fire on in the lounge to give it a boost.
I have it scheduled 18 deg 7-9 then drops to 16 deg 9-6, then 18 again til 10. Off between 10-7. Think it has a default minimum of about 6 deg, so kicks in on low to keep it at 6
Just sent my readings in...over the last 83 days my gas has cost £699. Comes on at 8am stops on until 11pm ish, someone is home all day most days. Due to our medical conditions we need to keep warm so the thermostat is set to 20 deg C.but I'm wearing a thick fleece most of the time at the moment. House is a semi with full UPVC, insulated loft but there are a couple of draughty areas..a storage space under the stairs and one on the landing...they really need insulating tbh.
