I turned up a day early once, if that counts. It was an unusual experience.

As a nipper I would often sneak in once the exit gates were opened.

Ashamed to say - 9.10pm for a 7.45 kick off at home to Tranmere Rovers ages ago. Had spent the day in the Peak District and got in for the last few minutes when they opened the gates for any early birds to leave. Nice day at Castleton, though, and we beat Tranmere with goals from Loyden and Evans.

Stoke in the cup a few years ago. There were billions of us still outside so they opened the gates just before half time and let us in for nowt; we were 3-1 up. I only saw Stoke score, it ended 3-3.

Apart from Liverpool (5 mins after half time) it was Walsall (1989 ish). About half time. To be fair we didn't set off from Hoyland until nearly 2(back in the days of 3pm Sat kick offs) and we didn't know where the ground was :D
