I agree with most of that apart from that bit about him deserving success. He's done very well for such a limited footballer and just because he might be a nice bloke (I'm sure he is) doesn't mean he deserves any more
RE: I agree with most of that All I meant about him deserving success was that if you could give out medals for effort, commitment and attitude KO would win some. You just know that when everyone came back for pre season he would have been the fittest player on the training pitch on day 1, and probably still is. His attitude is spot on and no one could say that KO doesn't give BFC his best (unlike some lazy gets we've had in the past). For that reason I really like him, but as I say the time has now come to stop picking him because for all the work he puts in, he's never going to be good enough to play regularly at this level. And to those who say he's a "confidence player" and are waiting for one goal to go in and then a flurry to follow I would say this. Remember the performance and goal against Chelsea? Remember the next game 3 dayd later against Ipswich? He missed 3 sitters in the first 20 minutes when his confidence should never have been higher. It's nothing to do with confidence, he just simply isn't good enough and I for one am disappointed for him.
would he **** Odejayi runs around a lot for the first 20 minutes during which time he'll put in the least amount of effort possible when jumping for a ball with a defender which will always always always rseult in him falling over because he puts no effort in to the challenge. He will then get a chance at goal which he will inevitably put high/wide/straight at the keeper/miss the ball (delete as appropriate) and will spend the rest of the match shying away from the ball. Making half runs towards it whilst making no effort to actually get the thing and more often than not will then start dropping deeper and deeper into midfield where he knows he will not have to shoot at goal. You will often see him slowly creeping further towards the right wing where he will not even have to touch the ball nevermind shoot. Odejayi doesn't have confidence problems, he has belief issues. He knows he isn't good enough for the championship and it has nothing to do with whether he is booed, cheered, laughed at or ignored. It is down to his own ability and his belief that he is not good enough
RE: I agree with most of that I'm not saying he doesn't try (although I think we have players who work a lot harder) it doesn't mean he deserves owt For some reason when a play has no ability the fact that he puts in a bit of effort is seen as a point in their favour when it's not - for the money they get a bit of effort is the least we should demand. We have had plenty of ***** players who were more popular than they should have been just because fans thought they toiled a bit
