WHATS THE POINT DOING IT??

If we had won promotion or summat then i can understand but it's just a chance for the little idiots to show off in front of their mates

    Like it: "Wait a bit . . . just a bit longer . . . hang on . . . only a few more days now . . ."

    It'd only work once, though.

    RE: Miserable buggers

I've only ever been on the pitch once, and that was against Bradford, never felt the urge to since, that was a real special day and even then, me and my Dad waited a good while before going on.

Just don't see a reason this season (or at any season really). I was really annoyed with the ******* that ran on last season against Leicester, as it seemed everyone in the Ponty (and no doubt the rest of the ground) was

By all means celebrate, but stay off the pitch!

Apart from it being against the law, it prevents the players being able to do a proper lap of honour for them to applaud the fans and also prevents the majority of fans from showing their appreciation as well.

After the Chelsea match there was some chav running round with Souza appaulding the fans - as though it was him we were applauding and not Souza!

yeh it is ridiculous when people go on the pitch before the whistle. But after the whistle I don't see the problem.

Because its wrong when a bunch of fans run on the pitch and hit their own.

I was hit by a bunch of neandertharls who bullied me through school and tried to set fire to my coat. They are still Barnsley fans the so call mobile brigade who meet in fields.

    Our own fans.

THERE ALL IDIOTS THAT DO IT !!

I dread it ever year ,in fact maybe it would be a good idea to leave before the whistle goes and miss it.I still say the stewards could do more to prevent it because WHY they all go and stand infront of the away end is nothing short of baffling. Get the police round the pitch with the dogs and those who try to run on set the dogs on em ,thats what i say because the day will come when we will get docked points for not controling our fans(sorry idiots)

that sounds very heavey handed. I don;t understand why people are so outraged by people going on the pitch.

Because it prevents other supporters being able to applaud the players off the field. Why do they players run off? Put yourself in their position. If you had several hundred people running at you, what would you do?

Whats the problem with Staying in your seat and applauding the players as they do a Lap of Honour?

I cant think of any problem at all with staying in your seat to applaud the players - can you

regarding the problem with invading the pitch
    1. Its against the law
    2. The club will be fined
    3. Its possible that a player or official will get injured - if that happens we will be in extremely serious trouble
    4. If the Charlton fans invade the pitch (fortunately I think they are some of the best behaved fans in the country) as well and there are clashes we will be in serious trouble
    5. It prevents the players doing a lap of honour and giving the majority of the crowd a chance to give them a good send off
    6. It damages the pitch
    7. It costs the club more money next season as the Police will use it as an excuse to increase the charges as they will see us as a difficult to police club
    8. it makes us look like pillocks to the rest of the footballing world

I could go on but bored now Is that enough to answer your question

    because

    a) I'd like the opportunity to clap the players on a lap of honour.

    b) there's a potential for a flash point with the opposition fans (look at the lovely way that the 'fans' behaved after the Bradford game 2006

    c) it's not as if we've been promoted which although not an excuse is understandable

    d) some fan could get seriously hurt

    e) some player could get seriously hurt

    f) it's against the club rules

    g) it's against the law

I could go on, but hey when you weigh up the counter argument of 'it's a bit of fun and I want to' I'm obviously on dodgy ground.

whats wrong with the player going in to the chairmans seats like they used to while the fans sang & chanted to them on the pitch & thru there shirts in to the crowd , I WISH I WAS TWENTY AGAIN WOULD I BE WITH THEM, YES I THINK I WOULD, let the young supporters enjoy themself AS LONG AS THEY DON,T CAUSE TROUBLE .

Don't agree with it now though, it's a bit stupid really, although when that kid slipped and ended up two footing Curry it was piss funny!! Curry rolling around in the mud with hundreds stood round him not quite sure what to do!
