by the politically correct has obviously been successful on you people. Ooooh think of the risks. I want to clap....They've made a law you know...the players will be scared....

It's got nothing to do with political correctness

It's to do with not being a lovely person.

Fair enough then. It's political correctness that's stopping us (which suggests you plainly have no idea what 'political correctness' is) and not the threat of sanctions from the league, prosecution, danger of injuring the playing staff, ruining the pitch.

Let's all do it. It's obviously big and clever. And we've all been indoctrinated. Obviously.

    not only idiots...

... but there's probably only a handful who go regularly.

the rest only go to run on the pitch and get their momento for the last game of the season.

i hate the fact that our club is associated with the pathetic chavs.

    Load o' B*ll*cks!

I'm not one to subscribe to political correctness but running on the pitch has **** all to do with that!

Like others have said, it is AN OFFENCE to go onto the pitch. Anyone that does risks fecking up the club - fines, points deductions, closing areas of Oakwell etc...as well as ruining the end of the season celebrations for the majority who don't act like little *****, and happily stay in the stands. Also, like we've seen lately, the fans leg it onto the pitch meaning everyone on the pitch - players/staff etc become intimidated (quite rightly so!) and subsequently bugger off, meaning the idiots manage to ruin it for everybody!

Why people feel the need to leg it onto the pitch I'll never know

Why does anyone feel the need to run onto the pitch?

    Is it really necessary? No.

Who's benefiting by "your" actions? Not the players as they can't stay on the pitch to applaud the fans. Not the majority of the fans sat/stood in the stands wanting to applaud the players. Not the Club who could be penalised financially or even by a points deduction as we have been in trouble for not controlling the "crowd" before.

Hopefully we will have something to celebrate - staying in the division(looking more likely but not taking anything for granted yet), but this is still no reason to run onto the pitch and potentially run the risk of someone getting hurt/trampled, maybe even yourself.

If it wor down to PC we would probably have to call it a "Field Visitation" rather than "Pitch Invasion".

"Invasion" - may offend all things pink and fluffy.

I don't like morons on the pitch because I think the FA have an eye on us. Not paranoid like, but I have seen a giant hedgehog peering over the top of the East Stand during the Chelsea pitch invasion.

    I'm not p*ssed you know...

if the referee reports that he or his players were in danger due to fans on the pitch we could face a fine or even playing behind closed doors. so if you feel the need to run on the pitch i think you also be prepared to pay the fine the club could receive

    You are probably right

People who want everyone to have the chance to applaud the players and be applauded by the players....rather than the "I'm all right Jack" attitude of people who run on the pitch and think of nobody but themselves.

    Let ME ask YOU instead

What right have YOU got to spoil ME enjoyment?

Why should 7,000 people that want to see the players do a lap of honour have that ruined by a few hundred people who don't want to see it?

    After the Chelsea game....

I couldn't see a problem, and the players loved every minute of it so don't gi me that ******** about frightened players. So as a celebration, No Problem IMO.
Just going for a lark about at the end of the season - it's a bit sad and like u say it's usually some **** of a chav just running round with his camera phone listening to uprising Yeah Man

Conkotyke. I'm guessing you're in flat view, in the top right corner of the screen it says 'Message format' and there is a drop down box, select threaded and you might find the threads easier to follow

watch the chelsea game again, not all players enjoyed it, some ran a mile.

Also watch the TV again, you'll notice that there are no 'proper' interviews with players on the pitch, this is because players were surrounded by idiots like you.

Yeah, except the game hadn't finished had it?

Why don't you see that as a problem?
