What's the rule in football you'd most want to change if you could?

    Home win = 2 points.
    Away win = 3 points.
    Home draw = 1 point.
    Away draw = 2 points.

That'd mix things up a bit.

    Offside.

Incomprehensible, the goal for Arsenal yesterday being a case in point. Sanchez was offside and was by any sensible definition of "interfering with play", Yet the linesman didn't raise his flag.

If the Spurs player hadn't headed the ball it would have reached Sanchez who would then have been offside. As it was he headed the ball because he knew that there were Arsenal players behind him who would have surely scored, he couldn't know that Sanchez would be flagged offside.

    Stupid.

Did either of the sets of officials see the elbow/stamp on Winnall?

I do agree with you, but I don't think a rule change would help in this case because as I understood it, neither of the incidents were seen by the officials.

You are right though. I'd like to see some "retrospective action" taken against referees who display utter incompetence, especially when their actions or lack of action, endanger the safety of a player.

Slightly different point but who came up with the idea that the kick-off needed tampering with?
Of all the things that annoy fans and things that could be addressed does anyone really think that changing the ko has improved the game?

We should be able to run on the pitch whenever we like... :)

    Stupid change.

What about throw ins? I thought the rule was that your feet must both be on the ground and OUTSIDE the pitch. Nowadays they never seem to get penalised even when they're not just touching the line, but even beyond it.

When a player for example McFadzean gets a big ban the team he's done the offence against should benefit so for a four match ban it should be for his next three games and the 4th match saved for the return fixture. Should you have played home and away already against the team the player plays for the match ban carries on until the next time the player is available to play against you for whatever team he's at, at that time so it doesn't have to be the team he committed the offence for.

Each team can nominate one player on the opposing team to wear flippers instead of boots for the entire duration of the match
